The first infraction is $20, subsequent infractions are $50. Dialing your phone and speaking on a headset is NOT illegal.
If you haven’t already, get yourself a Bluetooth headset for your phone – I strongly suggest the Aliph Jawbone or Aliph Jawbone 2. (Great Bluetooth headsets with noise reduction that actually works – I own the Aliph Jawbone and am quite happy with it!)
