- Operating System Android™ 1.5
- Camera 5 MP Autofocus!!!!
- Expantion Micro SD (SD 2.0 compatible)

Its a touchscreen device with a track ball (probably like blackberrys) complete with all the great features you expect (Bluetooth, Wifi, GPS, Camera, 3G, USB port, accelerometer, etc.)

Be sure to check out the HTC website Here for more info, and pray that it comes out on AT&T.
Also, post your comments on the phone below.

i'd like to have one to play with for a week, but as for owning one? maybe after a couple generations. I would expect, since it's running Android, that it's battery life would suck. the physical form itself looks slightly weird; like it'd be awkward while using it, with the potruding bottom. aside from that, it looks kind of thick. That said, i do like the look from the front. the ear speaker looks large, and leads you to assume it'd be easy to hear with. i even like the look on the back of the phone.
Undoutedly, it'll be branded, and if it turns out anything like the US version of the SGH-i780, it'll be fugly.
over all, i think it'll be kind of like the Palm Pre. mostly only hardcore HTC fans will be drawn at first, and then it'll slowly come into popularity. Soon enough for it to compete with BB and Apple? we'll see.

yeah the battery life couldn't be that bad compared to similar phones… like the iPhone (worst battery ever). As for the bottom, most reviews ive read said it made it feel alot better in the hand, and pockets just as well. It also is probably less noticable when you have it in your hand, not just looking at pictures where that is the first thing you notice. Also, it is actually slimmer than the BJ2, so thats not really a problem.
Of course it will be branded, but then again, every device that comes to the US is.. I guess we'll just see what the final specs are when it actually comes out in the states and with what carrier. Im pretty excited about this phone though.
P.S. I don't think anything will ever compete with apple simply because of their reputation. Even if theres a device that is much better than the iPhone, i dont believe it will be an iphone killer… unless it is advertised ALOT and Obama gets one.

slimmer than the i617? with a decent battery life, to boot? well, that would make it a horse of a different color, no? although i'm still skepitcal over the potential awkwardness of the phone itself(namely the shape of the mic end); i have to admit i am curious as to how good the camera would be, what with the phone being as small as it's advertised to be. Not to mention the fact that i hated the iPhone because it lacked friendliness for people with large hands.

yeah id have to see one in person to get the whole "chin" thing going on at the end. Its also getting closer to all our asian friend's camera phones (12mp+ isn't too surprising there). I would love to have an iphone, but its design and UI is old to me, party because its over advertised.

hmm, if it had a slide-out keyboard, I would absolutely love it. Not sure if I like the protruding bottom myself, I considered that some of the worst qualities of the G1. It is certainly an interesting concept and we shall see how well it is received. Being a retailer I'm not going to be able to get it without paying the unactivated price, so I'll just have to be patient and watch.
