corrupted files led me to eant to change out what i want to hear…hate the att sounds when i wake up, or that annoying ding when you send a text, anyone know how to upload your own, and what file name it has to be under,,please let me know Cool

look in the 'windows' directory on your phone. i did this before for the dialpad tones. i changed the ladyX.wav sounds to ssamples from a drum machine.

most sounds are in the 'windows' directory, most are in .WAV format. easiest way to change them is:

creat a new sound, name it the same as the sound you're replacing.

move it to 'my documents' or another temp directory on the phone.

use resco explorer to overwrite the files in the 'windows' directory which are 'read-only' and in 'rom'.

you most likely wont be able to overwrite them from the desktop because they are in rom.
