interestingly enough i had this problem today but i believe it was slightly different. all you need to do is download activesync 4.5 is what it sounds like. if that is the software you already have then is more smilar to the problem i had and unfortunetly you'll most likly have to do a hard reset. before you do that try unistalling activesync and reinstalling it and doing a soft reset on your phone and cpu. i had tried for a couple hours to get mine to work but i had to revert to a hard reset. if you do this make sure you have everything that you want to keep on your micro sd card and remove it and the sim card when you perform the hard reset. to do a hard reset just turn off the phone and hold the up button while holding the power button. it will come to a screen saying press 1 to format and reboot or any other number key to skip. if you are sure you have to do the hard reset simpily press 1 and within a couple seconds your phone will reboot to the factory settings. hope this helps.

Michael,
Are you using Vista or XP? I had a heck of a time getting my Blackjack II to be recognized by my Vista laptop. I ended up finding a Microsoft windows software patch for Vista that allowed Vista's WMDC to recognize my Blackjack II.
