For anyone who would like to update there North American Garmin Maps I have got my hands on the 2010 maps.
For starters in this version you do not have the option to select which area's you want on your gps, instead you get all of North America (All 1.1gb of it)
1.First off you must already have Garmin installed on your device, if you dont follow these steps here.
2. Download the new Detailed maps (must download all 9 Parts)
Or if Torrents are your thing
3. Now install the Garmin Keygen
4. At this point you should have everything you need to start the process
- On you phone go into Garmin—>>Tools—->>Settings—->>Now get your Device Id( or Unlocked ESN ) should be a 9 or 10 digit number set. Write this down
5. Open up Garmin Keygen and put you Device ID Number where it says "Enter your Card ID Here" Then go down to where it says "Select Map Product" and choose "Custom Map Set" code "450″
6. Now hit the Generate Button at the BOTTOM, you do not need to hit Generate at the top.
7. Copy your Map Unlock code. You then need to connect your phone or your Microsd card to your computer, then browse to you "Garmin" folder. In your Garmin folder you should see a file called "gmapsupp.unl" open that with Notepad and delete whatever is in it and now paste your new code in there and then hit SAVE
8. Now you must go to CNNANT 2010 IMG (this is the new 2010 maps you just downloaded. Open that folder and copy or cut "gmapsupp.img" and now paste that into the Garmin folder on your phone/microsd card.
9. Boom disconnect your phone. Open up Garmin and you should now have the new 2010 North American Detailed Maps.
10. To Check if you have the 2010 detailed maps open Garmin—->>tools—>>Manage My Data—->>Map sets—–>>now Click on the Detailed maps and it should prompt CN North America NT 2010.10.

For some reason while adding links it really buggers up the forum software, I'll fool around with it and see if I can get the sizing correct.

Ye it was about time we got the 2010 maps. I would change my original Garmin post to just included the updated maps however I think some people like the fact that with the orginal mapsource you could select which area's you wanted. If I find a way to include this mapset into mapsource I will definitly share.

Start up Garmin Mobile XT, go to 'Menu' –> 'Settings' –> Go down to '5. About' –. It will Display your Device ID or Unlock ESN

According to PC World, our GPS devices are all at risk of failure thanks to the government's lack of upkeep on the satelites.
