Hmm, I just finished reinstalling it, and I still get the bluetooth message. I also have the unlocked number in the About page.

If anyone has bluetooth symbol and a magnifying glass instead of bars then install the madacos GPS activator.

I had the similar problems, then I finally installed the Madocos GPS activator and boom I got 9 satellites on the view satellites screen. This activator opened up COM4. Now I have full strength even from inside the home. Thanks to Pukka for his effort. Man….. this program rocks.

Thanks Rahul for this solution!! After installing the MoDaCo GPS activator the bluetooth screen is gone! Also, thanks Roachzilla and Pukka for helping me. I'm now happy with a complete GPS :]

Vishal, make sure you extract all the files to your computer before doing the install.

Hey guys! I had this thing working…..before I so cleverly tried to run an update for it. I have tried 4 times to get it going again…..uninstalled it completely….reinstalled it….tried it without the gps activator…..with it….I'm 99% positive I installed the 2 files to my sd card (all 4 times)…..anyway right now when I open I get the scanning blutooth screen….if I skip that I can get to the "where to" or "view map" screen which does have a blutooth icon with a magnifying glass…I am sooooo open for some help here…….Thanks for the wonderful program  tho guys! I know it is because I had been using it for awhile! I appreciate all the help and suggestions provided here for ppl like me…lol. :)

DSdirt, if you open garmin go into settings—->>about…does it say Unlocked ESN??

if its unlocked then just install the Modaco gps hack and restart your phone, should work flawlessly, if its not unlocked then you know it has something to do with the keygen

yee mine takes a while to get satelites aswell, Ive heard if you install the new update for garmin it actually recognizes the intermediate drivers instead of com4, and this makes for a quicker signal.

Pukka, I have it running now, but I am curious about a thing or 2?

I had 6.1 on my bj2 before I downloaded the program. Did I have to use the modaco gps unlocker? If not, can I uninstall without it screwing up the working garmin that I have now?

Also have you updated the garmin software? How to do this without having to totally reinstall or otherwise scewing the working garmin up? Is it an ugrade worth doing?

Thanks!

dsdirt, I tried to use Garmin without the Modaco GPS and I just installed WM 6.1 2 days ago, I couldnt get Garmin to work at all, Once I installed the Modaco GPS hack boom everything started working so I highly Suggest keeping it installed….it doesnt take up any space its more of a registry edit that it does so leaving it wont actually slow your phone down.

Now I havent updated Garmin but I have a lot of free time right now so I might just give it a try actually.

you should be able to find the Garmin Update by doing a search of the forums.

digi i suggest you install the Modaco GPS hack I had to and I too have WM 6.1…If you have the updated version of Garmin (which I just installed) you may not need the GPS hack as it find the Intermediate drivers.

I think it says scanning bluetooth??? or something…

RoachKilla I updated it perfectly, didnt even need to generate keys or even install the Modaco GPS hack( I had it previosly installed)…..at first it said scanning bluetooth so I was about to regenerate the keys, restarted garmin to get the key and then it just started working without even changing the keys.

It does look a lot nicer and offers a bit more features but other then that its the same…..seems a bit quicker loading screens though
