i tried installing the mapsource and it keeps coming up with an error saying it cannot find the cab1 file

I currently have installed the torrents "I" listed to my blackjack 2 and it works flawlessly, its the best gps software ive had installed on my phone. Not to sure why you stated it will not work….Ive fully tested it and am still using it to this day.
it is a great aplication and have succesfully installed it on the Motorola Q9 aswell.
If you cannot get it up and running just give me a shout.
i cant get the mapsource to install because it says it cannot find the disk1.cab file

Hi
several days ago i have posted my experience of installing Garmin XT on BJ2 with WM 6.1 WITHOUT installing MoDaCo hacks. My post disappeared for some reason. Just wonder what is the point of blocking useful information from bj2 users.

Hello Thank you very much for all the help in posting this hack ……
After I install the new update of "GarminMobilextfor Windows Mobile_50020w" I regenerated the key using Garmin Mobile XT Keygen v1.. I can see the bars but again and again I am getting connection error" The remote party has ended this connection" I do not have a data plan and asked At&t to disable the data plan.
Please can someone help me with this error…. how do I get out of it…..
I would really apperciate it

I recently updated to WM 6.1 and I am now trying to upgrade Garmin as well. I have installed the program without any problems but when I open Garmin I am being asked for the 8 character product key. I entered my Unit ID in the Key Gen but the key generated is not accepted by Garmin.
I know I must be missing something obvious here, I installed Garmin before easily. Can anyone please point me in the right direction to help me out?

Anni, Initially I also had the same problem but if you do the step 7 to 13 again and it should work..

Hi, Im sure your post is still floating around somewhere, David and I are currently the only active Forum Moderators with the privilage to delete a post and I can assure you both of us have not deleted any post regarding your issue and it is possible it has been transferred into a more appropriate forum
The only posts we delete are ones that arent appropraite, advertisers, spam, duplicates.

Took about 2 hours even though it initially stated much longer.
My problem:
Have tried 3 times. Get to Garmin splash screen on my BJII and after a second I get an error message about Quesp.exe and ask if report to MS. I say no, then everything stops. Think I have not missed anything but must have done something not right. Modaco hack seems to be OK as it shows in "Remove programs". Have read all 20 pages of posts and only noticed a"Quesp.exe" mentioned once-but no real response. Help appreciated. Driving me crazy. Also, when I continue on, even though I am synched, cannot get an ID as it won't recognize my BJII

Hi Ron,
try the follow, highlight the bars and click the central circle – white screen will display the name of interface that bj2 is currently using, if it does not say "GPS intermediate Driver" click "Menu" ->"Disable"/"Enable", than choose "Use GPS Intermediate Driver" -> "Done". You need to wait several minutes without moving of bj2 to catch sats. if this does not help – choose COM (n) port that hacks are using instead of "Use GPS Intermediate Driver". I did not install hacks- i'm using GPS intermediate Driver on WM 6.1

2. Open the installation folder, the folder where you installed the
program 1 minute ago, and open the folder "MapSource" within that.
Create a shortcut of the file "MapSource.exe" in your desktop.
this doesnt exist…. any hints?

I followed the steps to the best i can but it still thinks im about 100 miles from where i actually am and travelling at 98 mph. It also just hangs there when calculating a route. Did i miss something? Thanks so much

My dad recently bought a blackjack II so I copied all the gps files for my blackjack II and pasted it on his microsd card. I also went through and installed the gps hack on his phone. But when his phone is scanning for the bluetooth signal it can't seem to find the satallite. Did I do something wrong by not going through all the steps that I had to do when I installed the Garmin XT for my phone?

looks like most of the errors are not finding the zip1 file. you should have a cab file called zip1 in your pcmapsourceinstallation file. if you dont, you may have to download it again… or your download may not have finished.

if im not mistaken, because we have gps that comes with our phone, i assume the bluetooth device would only apply to some sort of external gps unit if we didnt have it built in.
but i may be wrong on that. i never scan for anything via bluetooth on mine. its used via the com4 port.
open up garmin, click menu, go to settings, then system, and click remote gps. should say "COM4: COM4:"

did you make sure you have the actual disk1 cab file?
