Fellow Blackjack 2 owner Brian Wahl (of BrownRoomMedia.com and BrianWahlBand.com fame) created two new backgrounds for MyBlackjack2’s Blackberry Bold Theme. Brian was kind enough to share his creations, and for his efforts and goodwill, I’ve dubbed them the “Brianberry Bold” themes.
Per usual, these themes will work on the Samsung Blackjack 2 and should work on any other Windows Mobile 6 Standard Smartphone.
I hope everyone enjoys – and a big thanks to Brian!

I really love this theme! Is there anyway you could modify it so instead of your Profile being at the top it would show “Missed Calls (0)” instead? I would get more functionality out of that than the proflie selector. Thanks!

well stated johnmccmo. I want the “Missed Calls (0)” feature really bad. It appears that every template here lacks this feature. The miss call icon doesn’t show the number of missed calls which is a must for people who attend many meetings like I do. Hope to see this feature added.

Yup. Miss calls and be able to install background of preference… I tried putting in my own wallpaper and a white like appeared on the bottom. Still very good theme! I have it installed and look great!

I am having the same issue that obshaky1 is having. I am attempting to use the given theme but change the background image. I like the placement of all the information but when I use my personal jpg file there is a white bar that appears behind the icons at the bottom of the screen. Is there a way around this? Thanks!

try using the Blackberry Bold Theme with your custom background (http://www.myblackjack2.com/?p=151) and let me know if youre still getting the white line. The Blackberry Bold and Brianberry Bold themes use the same layout XML file – the background are just different.

Yup – since the theme is fixed height there is only so much information that can be shown on the screen. The Missed Calls was removed since then you have missed calls a Missed Calls notification icon in the header bar.
Its like they say, you cant please everybody all the time.

When I load the Brianberry theme (or, any theme for that matter) into applicatian data folder, and use file explorer, and click the .cab.. it loads for about 2 seconds than says “Installation of cab file was unsuccesful”.. what the hell am i supposed to do?

Try saving the CAB to you My Documents and try again.

I get the same white background around my icons on the bottom of the screen like Obshaky does. I get it on both your themes and the blackberry one if I use a custom background while using the themes.

For those who like the background, but want to use the default Slider theme for WM 6.1, I recreated the image, and I even found a tutorial you can use if you want to make your own with your own colors.

Tut: http://abduzeedo.com/surprise-behind-curtain-photoshop Steps 1-9, and Step 11 to add color. Mine, I also did a little burning to get the whites a little darker.

Bold v1 is excellent. I suppose if you want to remove an item from the quick launch bar you have to cycle through enough programs for that one to move off the bar? I have one that points to a program I removed and it indicates “unable to locate shrotcut”. Not a big deal, just curious.

Hi, I’ve been on here awhile but never joined.
I just installed Bold v1 on my BJ2, and when I hit the contacts soft key, no contacts appear. I even tried going through the start menu to view contacts. The only way I can view contacts now is by hitting SEND and scrolling that way. Whats the deal?

Where it says contacts, mines says all photos. So when I click the soft key it goes to contacts. How do I change it to say contacts?
